I am so grateful for my blessings, yesterday I had the opportunity to go to the temple. I went by myself because my husband is out of town and so I did initiatory work. I love the temple it is my place of peace, where I can feel the joy of being a member of the true church. I am so grateful for my great husband, who is helping our daughter right now by doing drywall in her home. He left me a beautiful note on the mirror before he headed out. He has done that the last few times. He will never know how much that means to me. True love comes when you can not stop smiling. My daughter has found that true love, she can't stop smiling. It is like Elder Holland says when you are truly in love you want to shot it from the roof tops. She certainly wants the whole family to know and she wants to shot it from the roof tops. When you find that kind of love you have to pinch yourself and can't believe our Father in Heaven could send you someone so perfect for you. I know that kind of love. I was sent someone that wonderful. I am so happy that I was granted such an incredible blessing, and that my husband has always been a romantic and truly loved me and has always shown that. I can see that in the young man my daughter has met. She was dating a young man that we knew she would never marry. She had to figure that out for herself, but she did, we are so grateful for that miracle.  Because she is a different girl and I love who she is even more.  I love all of my children but at times, they can be misguided, that is why it is so important to stay close to your family.  Family's are of our Father in Heaven they would never stir you wrong. They know you better than anyone else.

I am happy to be in my daughters home, she just brought a new special little spirit into the world. You can not hold a new baby directly from Heaven and not know that our Father in Heaven is real. Such a precious little child. Now we can understand our Fathers great love for His children.  No one can began to understand the kind of love a mother and father have for their child after experiencing the miracle of life. A mother comes close to death at this miraculous time of baring a chose child of God. It amazes me how quickly motherhood can be forgotten.  As children grow older it is difficult to imagine any child ever not listening to counsel from a parent. There is no one on this earth that loves them more or knows them better than a parent. We do not spend years with our children without knowing them. It's sad to see someone destroy that bound in a matter of months.  If a person truly loves you they would never want to destroy that relationship, they would only want to make it better. But unfortunately the wool is pulled over our eyes by deceitful means. And yet we all claim to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Oh how sad that we cannot see through rose colored glasses.  I am saddened to see such sad things.

I am so grateful to my parents, they have always supported me in all that I do, they knew Frank was to be my husband before I did, what an amazing blessing for me. I love my parents so much. I learned a great deal from them.  One of the most important things that I learned in my home is  that you don't  share sacred things with other people who are not in your family,  they can use those sacred things for their benefit. It won't seem bad at first, but you realize after a while, " hay that was what my sister said, or that was like the sacred thing we talked about a month ago. We don't share the temple, our patriarch blessing, your special spiritual experiences. The Lord gave them to you for a reason. I remember years ago when my father in law was given something special and sacred, that special thing was taken away from him when he went to share it.  When the sacred plates of the Book of Mormon were lost they were taken away because they could be used for evil. Sacred things are sacred and need to be kept that way.

I listened to conference a short time ago, it was an amazing conference,  such important man. We as members of the church are so lucky to be able to hear inspiring men. There are so many rumors  going around right now, but they are just rumors, and until the prophet announces we don't listen. The prophet is the only one on the face of this earth that can receive revelation for the church. The other rumors are only rumors and those who continue to talk about things that aren't true are on their way
to apostasy, be careful what you believe.

I just read a great article in the Ensign it was on the courage to chose modesty."Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you . . . The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are".  We live in a world of good and evil, and the physical body can be used for either righteous or wicked purposes.. But we know that are bodies are a gift from God. They are sacred. Elder Bednar  of the quorum of the 12 apostles taught, "to those who know and understand the plan of salvation, defiling the body is an act of rebellion and a denial of our true identity as sons and daughters of God".  We chose to care for and protect our bodies so that we may be instruments in the hands of God to bring about His glorious purposes. If we desire to stand for the Savior and do his work, we must ask ourselves. If the Savior stood beside me would we feel comfortable in the clothing we wear. Do not let anyone dictate to you what to wear. A person of God would never ask you to wear  things that are to tight or inappropriate in any way.l
Modesty in dress, appearance, thought, and behavior is evidence that we understand the covenants that we have made that bless us protect us and empower us against the evils of the world.

It is our anniversary today.  WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 39 YEARS.  I want to express to each of you why our marriage is so wonderful.  My husband comes from a very righteous family who grew up in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He honors his priesthood and does everything in his power to do what is right. I came from a very righteous family who grew up the same way.  We love the same things. We love to hike, we love being together with our children, we love to share a meal, we love cleaning together, we love canning together, we love preparing a meal together, we have always been together in taking care of our children, when my young daughter got in a bad car accident and I couldn't be at the hospital because of work, my husband was there. We are very supportive of each other and help each other through difficult times. I can't express to everyone out there how important is to marry into a family that is exactly like your family.  So many problems can be solved, because your children will become like their mother or father.  I don't care what you do or how many promises you make.  I believe your past will catch up to you through your children.  Look at yourself and the choices you make, they are a direct result of your parents. The Lord knows that what goes around comes around that is the only way we can truly realize the mistakes that we have made, that is if some one we love makes those same mistakes. Then we can really realize what we put other people through.  Other wise we can't learn that lesson. Our Father in Heaven knows what he is doing.  We have to learn to return to him.

I am sitting in the quiet of my own home.  I love the silence, as I sit here I have come to understand how important our lives are and yet we seem to hurry through them, instead of sitting back and taking time to really cherish each moment.  Cherish moments with our family, cherish moments that make us laugh with them, cherish moments that make us cry with them and cherish moments that bring the spirit of our Father in Heaven so strong in our family that we wonder if He might be sitting right beside us. At a special Priesthood meeting called by our stake president, the temple president told an amazing story.  A lady had written him about the fires that raged through the hills a couple of years ago, my brothers small shed was burned, his family had many fond memories up there.  A lot of people lost there cabins, but this lady was in the temple at the time.  When she went to her home that was in the mountains it was still standing.  She prayed and wondered why her home was spared. That night she had a dream, in the dream she saw hundreds of people holding hands circling her home and property.  In the dream it was made know to her that these people were the people she had done temple work for and they were all there to help her because of the temple work she had done for them. I know that the people who have gone on to the other side are right by us concerned for us and helping us. I have felt that so many times. My children are circled about by angels because of  temple work, these angels help them make the right choice in everything they do. There are so  many wonderful people who are our family and ancestors that care about each of us. It isn't all about my children's choices it is about generations of wonderful people who are hoping and praying for us because we effect many lives, many generations back and many generations forward. Everything we do there will be an eternal consequence that is why it is so important to include family when making a choice. Some have been on this earth a very long time and they know what is best for us.  That is why we have a living prophet and many apostles, because they know what is best for us, they have lived through so much and they understand so much.  We shouldn't be listening to anyone else expect those wonderful men whom the Lord put on this earth. Because other people can twist things so that it really sounds good but we need to understand that the prophet and apostles and parents are the only voice of reason for us.  Families are forever and they are put on this earth for us, the family is of God.

Throughout my life I have learned so many wonderful things, that can improve and help my life.  Our lives are so important, when things we have been taught our whole lives suddenly become unimportant, and the not so important things become too important, then we are being manipulated. The adversary is very manipulative and cunning. He can make us believe good is bad and bad is good. He can preoccupy our minds with things to take us away from the righteous desires that our Father in Heaven would have for us. When we are taught righteousness, purity, morality and goodness, someone who doesn't have these qualities and has repented of those things is very apt to do those things again, because they have been weakened, so they need to safe guard themselves.  That means strict obedience. Especially when it comes to staying out past midnight, being alone in a parked car or making out in an inappropriate way.  Not only that but people can persuade us to do things we wouldn't normally do because they want us to feel guilty just like they do, and then they have us bound. It all starts with little things, by not telling the truth or being deceptive.  Satan knows he can get you by starting you out doing the small things that are wrong. Being a good member of the church does not pertain to just Sundays or when we are at seminary or institute, or in an important spiritual meeting, it means at all times and in all places. Remember you are being watched, you may think you can hide, but the most important person knows.  Once again Satan can make you believe its not that bad.  Be aware he is very deceitful.
