Saturday June 26th

Another day of tending children. It is kind of crazy. We have had them from about 9:30 to 2:30 because the wedding took awhile to film. It has been hard on the parents to be out in that heat. But I need to get my house clean because tomorrow is Sunday. It is kind of hard to do with 2 little children. Frank and I took off this morning to hike the mountain, so Kim and Tam had the children for the first part of the morning. But now they went to a swim park with some friends to have fun, so we kind of need to take over.

The house got cleaned pretty good for Sunday and I am happy about that because the family will all be coming over for dinner tomorrow. I am glad that one of my children are in charge this time, because I am just a little tired.

Nate wanted us to flot down the river with him today. He is pretty knowledgeable about the bugs and flies and birds. He wanted to share. But I have always worried about this particular river. His wife and Emily and Paul went down it and really enjoyed themselves. So a few more will do it again on Monday. Besides who would be tending their children, if I wasn't their to do it for them.

Friday June 25th

We hiked the mountain today with Sierra. It was so fun, although it did take us awhile because she is a little slower than we are. We picked up some fun rocks on the way. We met Lisa, Madison, Chrissy, Kate and Colton at the Park. Kim and Tam came up and met us about half way. It was so fun to do something as family. We had a great time talking and laughing. Sometimes it is just fun to be together. We were all kind of exhausted and a little sun sick after it all.

The rock experience made me think of the rock polisher that my parent had gotten years ago. I went over to see if they still had it. They did, I was so excited. I brought it home, now Sierra and I can polish some rocks. Her father bought her some rocks on her trip here. She is so into rocks it isn't funny. Pretty fun stuff.

I took care of my little grand children tonight so their parents could go and film the Robins wedding. They said it was beautiful. I am glad they were able to go. But that kind of made it so we couldn't go. But I think it was probably more important that they go. It was kind of a crazy evening.

Thursday 24th of June

It is such a good day. Lisa and her husband and little family made it safe. I am so happy that they traveled slow and made it. I know that my prayers were answered.

I went to the Senior citizens center to participate in Relief Society. It was rather interesting because when I pulled up it didn't look like anyone was there. But I felt like I should go in to the building anyway. Heather was the only one there. They had me down as giving the lesson. I wasn't prepared but I told Heather I could do it anyway. She said, no she had a perfect lesson. I was grateful. Because there was no one there I volunteered to play the piano. I played the prelude. I was suppose to give the opening prayer, but Heather did that. I played the opening hymn, which I didn't do bad on. Then they wanted another hymn, because the musical number people didn't show up. So I played the hymn that was laying open at the panio. I hadn't played that particular version of "Love One Another", but I played it anyway even though I made my share of mistakes. Then Heather gave a beautiful lesson on The Lords Prayer. After the lesson we sang the closing song. I knew it very well, so I played it with no mistakes. I wasn't prepared to play so I didn't bring my glasses and couldn't see the notes very well. Oh well I did what I could, I knew that the Lord was in on me going. I am grateful that Heather came as well. We made a pretty good team, We did the Relief Society Meeting alone.

Then my husband and I and my daughter went to the temple. Lisa hadn't arrived yet so it was a perfect time. I am so grateful that I went. We did a bunch of family names again. Frank did some work for my Uncle who passed away last year. I was a great experience to be there. I even did a name for a lady at the temple that asked me to do it. All in all it has been a wonderful day and my children made it here safely. That makes the whole day amazing. To see my sweet little grandchildren was such a joy. Thanks for a good day.

Wednesday 23rd of June

Lisa called again this morning and told us they were on their way to Cheyenne Wyoming. So we will be waiting for a call again tonight.

We have had a great day. I have accomplished a lot but not quit what I need to. I feel like each day goes by and I don't get done what I need too. I think I am just getting to the point that I don't feel like doing anything when it seems like no one else does either. I know I have to change my tune but it is hard.

We got together as family tonight and played volleyball. It was so fun. We are going to try and do it once a week. It is a lot of fun to just keep playing. We played 5 games and won 3. I feel like I need to practice more. I can serve but I need to return the ball better, but trust me we had a lot of fun. Jeanne brought me over a jamba juice. It was nice of her.

We heard from Lisa again tonight. They will stay in Cheyenne tonight and continue on tomorrow. They will be going up and coming down a canyon. I know that can be very tough for them. I will pray hard for them tonight. They need all the help they can get right now. I love that little family alot. I will be so happy to see them. They will stay with us for awhile and then find a new home and be gone again. We love them.

Tuesday June 22

Lisa and her family made it just past Omaha Nebraska and stayed the night. It would have been better had they stayed in Omaha, they probably would have found a better Motel. But I am sure they will leave at 2 in the morning again tomorrow, just as they did this morning. I can just imagine this cute little family traveling and at times having some frustrations. I love them all and pray for there safety as they make the long trek across the USA. I know it won't be easy and I pray that Nate will take it slow so they an make it safely.

Another crazy day when I don't feel like I can accomplish much. I have been trying to do better, by saying my prayers and reading my scriptures first thing in the morning. I hope to make it a habit, along with making my bed and straightening my room. I am just trying to be better.

June 21st Monday

It is good to have my girls home. They are kind of tired from being at Michelle's because they haven't seemed to ambitious about doing anything.

Lisa and her family will be leaving Pittsburgh tomorrow morning. Lisa was up late still trying to get things clean and ready to leave. They will leave at 2 in the morning. Nate packed everything in the trailer. I worry about them because they are driving a 4 cylinder 4 runner to pull a long trailer. I know what that can do to a vehicle, you can find yourselves fish tailing. Slowing down and going slow is the only way to stop that. I will pray for their safe travel. They have been in Pittsburgh for 4 years going to dental school. They have accepted a job out west, so they will be traveling about 1900 miles. A long drive for a small cute family. 2 children and 2 adults.

I got Colleens dress figured out and I cut it out. I will work on it again tomorrow.

Sunday June 20th

I love Sundays. Especially when they are Father's day Sundays. The great thing about them is just having family around. It was fun to feed everyone and eat such great food. I did make my husband pies, and Tamara made cinnamon rolls. We ate steak, chicken, funeral potato's, beets, corn, rolls and salad. Plus our great desserts. It was just a fun day. The men got a snickers after church for Father's Day. The meetings were wonderful. We had a great Sacrament Meeting, Sunday School we talked about true friends and we talked about the atonement and how hard the whole experience must have been for our Heavenly Father. It had to have been extremely difficult to see his son Jesus Christ receive such persecution and go through the Garden of Gethsemane and then to watch him suffer on the cross. I couldn't even imagine having to go through that as a parent. I am so grateful for my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I am also grateful for Father's Day, my father and my father in law. I am especially grateful for my husband today. I know life is not easy for him right now. I just pray that a miracle will happen in our life and we will be able to keep our home.

Saturday June 19th

I has been a fun and yet hectic day. We had the ward swim party tonight and The family reunion on my husband side was also today. We expected my daughter home a little earlier than they arrived, but that doesn't matter because I had cleaning to do, and a potato salad to make for the ward party. The family party was suppose to start at noon, but we didn't arrive there until about 3. My daughters came with us, and that was a good thing because my husbands youngest brothers, daughter Trina was there. She is out here from Virginia checking out the Y for a couple of weeks. I think she was happy to see the girls. She said sometimes she doesn't know what to talk about when it comes to her grandparents. She lives in Virginia so she doesn't see them that often. I am so grateful that my children have grown up around there grandparents. Anyway we enjoyed the Family Reunion. All my husbands that live here were there, also there children and grandchildren. It was fun to see everyone. After about 1 hour we left because we needed to get to the ward party. We ate and then my girls went to swim, but did not last long because they said it was too cold. A friend drove them home. We stayed. Phillip and Katrina soon come and so did Michael. They had fun jumping ofd the diving board and going down the slide until the pool closed. They had a great time. The thing that I loved the most is that it was a rewarding day because it was relaxing. And of course we came home from the pool to my girls and there cousin and Lacey. They seemed to be happy to be home and in their own rooms.

June 18th Friday

The girls are suppose to be home today after 2 1/2 weeks, but Michelle doesn't feel like bringing them home after being in Hawaii for 6 days. She was going to send them home on the shuttle, but my sister is doing zone therapy done there and will be coming home tomorrow. So I arranged with her to bring them home. So they will spend another day down there. I think their brothers and sisters are wanting them home pretty bad, and so are there friends. It is kind of crazy to think they have been gone for a while because we have been busy doing some things that needed to get done. It has been plenty worth while to accomplish so much. We have missed the girls because they bring some a spark to our lives, so we will be plenty happy to see them. I have appreciated one thing and that was the house is so easy to clean. It has been a lot of years since that happened.

We attended the temple. It was such a wonderful experience. I can't even explain why, it is just that I have been through some bad days in the last few days, and everything about being at the temple just helped me understand that the Lord loves me and he is in control. I loved being there and loved the whole experience while I was there. It was just so much of what I needed. I am just so grateful for the temple today.

Thursday 17th June

It has been a busy day. We planned on going to the temple today but my husband has a lot going on where his business is concerned. So I have spent the day cleaning, but I have been creating some patterns for my sister. It is a hard thing to do. But I finally think I have created a pattern that will fit her. I have made a skirt pattern and a top. I can't believe how long it has taken me. There are so many adjustments to make it just right. We can't find a pattern for her because she is pretty big. I wish that weren't the case but it is. I think I have finally accomplished it. And it has been a pretty difficult under taking, so I am proud of myself.

June 16th Wednesday

It have been outside today weeding the garden. I am a little saddened because I have very few carrots coming up, about 6 bean plants and about 6 spinach plants. The past two years this has happened. I can't imagine what is going on. I seem to have plenty of beets, but the other stuff is looking bad.

My husband found a bird hanging from our bird house today. I have been tending my two little grandchildren so we were watching from the window. It apparently had its little leg stuck on a string. We were concerned about it, but the parents seemed to take care of it. We planned to come out right after it flew to the ground and pick it up in a box, because its leg didn't look very well. The string may have been wrapped around its leg since it was born. Anyway we don't know if it went in the rose bushes or what it did, because my husband couldn't find it. But the parents were both around, so we weren't concerned. I am sure they were concerned enough. we as parents tend to do that.

June 15th Tuesday

I have been busy all day today. I went to an elderly ladies house today. I washed her hair, then I cut it. I gave her a perm. She said it was a little to long, so I cut it again. Then I put it up for her. She asked me how much she owed me. I told her nothing. But she insisted and ended out paying me $50.00. I was plenty OK with that. I left at 9:00 AM and left at 1:30. I figured just over $10.00 an hour was pretty good. The reason being, is that I didn't expect any money at all.

Then at 2:30 Dad picked us up to drive to SLC to pick up some cars for the car lot. With all the waiting around we finally arrived here at about 7:00. It was a crazy day. I guess you could say I am worn out. I am a little tired. So I went to bed about 9:30. I guess the whole day just wore me out. But standing in the sun kind of does that to me. I did get a little sun burned. Anyway a crazy day, but I stayed busy and that is always rewarding.

Monday 14th June

I talked to the girls today. They are tending one of my daughters children. They have been tending some other children as well. One of the children disappeared while they were playing a game. They were frantic. They wanted to call the mother of this child because they thought maybe she had picked her up, but continued to search. They search for about 15 minutes. One of the 8 children finally found the child behind a door, just as the girls were ready to call her Mom. A scarey experience for anyone. But they handled it great.

We hiked the mountain today. With all the rain that we have had it was beautiful. It is alway fun to relieve a little stress through the joy of exercising. It was an enjoyable experience..

Sunday 13th June

It has been an absolutely exceptional day. We went to the Senior Citizen Center and it was amazing. I was blessed to be able to even play the piano. I hit a few notes wrong in two of the songs, but I played the last one wonderfully. Frank and Karalee both gave fantastic talks on the Lord orchestrating out lives and helping things to bring us to the points we are now. He talked about his parents living in Florida and how he was blessed to know that he needed to go on a mission. His parents moving from Florida to here so that he could meet me. Our marriage and the blessings that brought him to a testimony of tithing. The whole experience was amazing. We were living in Logan at the time. We had 4 children. We had run completely out of money. All we had was the money I had set aside for tithing. Frank being the father felt it more important to go and buy food. I felt it more important to pay tithing. So I ran the tithing across the street to the bishop. When I got back home. I told Frank that I wish we had some wheat so that I could make some bread. Suddenly the door bell rang and one of our neighbors was holding 2 loaves of bread. She said, I thought you could use some bread. We said thank-you. I took it to the kitchen and said, this is great but I wish we had some jam to go on it. The door bell rang once again. The bishops daughter was standing there holding a bottle of strawberry preserves. She said we made some jam and would like to know if you would like some. We thanked her and headed to the kitchen. I said this is wonderful but I wish we had something to wash it down with. Suddenly the door bell rang again. It was someone we didn't even know. He said he lived a few miles up the street. He wanted to know if we could use some milk, his cow over produced and he had 2 gallons of extra milk. A miracle indeed and we were all able to eat. It was fun to have that story brought back to my memory. Then the primary sang a beautiful song about Jesus. Karalee was the last speaker who talked about times in her life when she has felt as though her whole world had fallen apart, but the Lord was there for her every time. Because things worked out. The meeting was certainly uplifting. Then we headed to our building for Sunday school and relief society. Frank gave the lesson about Saul and talked a little about David and Goliath. It is amazing to me how much these stories are like our own lives and can help us to much if we really read them. Relief Society was about the life of the Savior. It was many stories about the Savior blessing peoples lives and how they crucified him, but later he was resurrected and came to the 12 tribes of Israel as well as the America's. The whole day was so spiritually up lifting. I loved it and am grateful that I was a part of it.

We had family dinner. It was burritos. They were incredible with pulled pork, rice, black beans, guacamole, cilantro dressing, salsa and cheese on fresh made tortilla's. Then we just sat around and had a family discussion. It was a perfect Sabbath day.

June 12th Saturday

It is Saturday and tomorrow we are doing Sacrament Meeting for the Senior Citizen Center. I am playing the piano. Frank and Karalee are speaking, and Emily is leading the music. Emily picked out the songs, now I have spent a little time today practicing. It wouldn't bother me so much if I wouldn't shake so bad when I do anything anymore. When I had to speak about the twins in Relief Society I was shaking so hard that they had to hold me up. I am praying for help right now. I know most of the songs in the hymn book, but unfortunately that won't help me when I shake so bad I can't do anything right. Emily gave me a suggestion. Just sit and contimplate about playing the piano. Go through it in your mind over and over, think about how perfect you will be able to do it. Then it will come out beautifully. So I am counting on the miracle.

It is the summer fest today and yesterday. But the weather is miserable. It has been raining constantly. It is kind of clearing up now that it is about 5:00 P. M. so I am sure that they will have the parade and fireworks. But it is still very cold, so I hope that everyone wears a jacket. I would like to go but I just don't feel that well. My neck is out. I feel as though my neck isn't connected to my head. Maybe it is all the stress in my life right now. A husband with out a job, my girls giving fits over decisions that were made long ago that they are fighting against. Things to sew, hair to cut, perm to do. I am just a little stressed.

June 11th Friday

We went to the temple again today. While I was there I felt like I couldn't keep my mind on the things that were being said that were important. I found myself getting irritated over little things. I felt as though I just accomplished something that could have been of benefit to me, but because of my attitude it wouldn't be. As I was walking out of the temple I felt like I had failed on this day. Then I was talking to my daughter Lisa and she said. Mom if you think about it for a minute it seems as though every time we try to do things that are right we are given the hard ships as well. If you think about it, in the scriptures you read about Nephi being told to go and get the brass plates, because they were important to Lehi's family. The were the geneology of his forefathers. He had trial after trial while there and then his own brothers took it upon them selves to smote Nephi and his brother with a rod. They were trying to do something good and were given something not so good. You think about Moses who was given a miracle to cross the red sea unharmed then suddenly the children of Israel the children of Israel start to murmur and cause all kinds of problems. Moses was doing something good. Think of Christ and his fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. He is tempted by Satan who says just eat this bread it won't hurt. Then Satan offers him the world. But the Savior tells Satan to get thee hence. The Savior was even tempted. It happens over and over again in the scripture. Mom you were trying to do good, of course you are going to have opposition. After her little talk I realized we all have struggles. We just need to keep doing that which is right, and the Lord will take care of us. I appreciated her advice. Sometimes your children can make everything right. Thanks, Lisa!!!!

Yesterday Emily decided to start walking with Colleen, she promised to pick her up each morning to walk and just start out slow, and walk a little more each day. We are worried about her. She just seems to continue to gain weight, when it isn't very healthy for her. I wish she could understand that we love her, and we wouldn't be so concerned about her if we didn't. So Emily went over to Colleens to walk with her, while Frank and I were at the temple. I forgot to tell her that she and Naje left to stay with some friends last night. But this morning Mom told me that they had packed everything, and had gone. So we don't know how long they will stay. I feel bad that they left.

Mom called today and told me that she had another job for me. A lady in our ward that is elderly needs her hair cut and a perm. I am a little apprenhensive about the whole thing. I am always afraid to cut and do peoples hair because I am afraid that they won't like it. So it worries me. I called her today, she wants me to come sometime next week.

Frank and I went out to check the sprinkling system for Jennifer tonight and picked up a perm for the elderly lady in our ward.

June 10th Thursday

There is still a little trauma in my family, I just wish sometimes my children would come to me. I could at least listen. I may not be able to solve all there problems, but it would be nice to know what is going on in my own home, rather than me being the last to know. Trauma, trauma trauma as my sons would say. It is crazy having 7 girls, but at the same time it can be so fun.

We went to the temple again today. I guess you could say it is our safe haven. I was so good for me to be there. I felt as though my Uncle Jared was there telling me that things would be alright. I even felt his arms around me. I couldn't help but just cry. Sometimes those people that have been important to us, can be of assistance in helping us through some tough times, and I am so grateful for that. Those on the other side are our support through difficult times. I don't think we can even comprehend of their love for us. Thank you for the miracle of that!!

I cut Colleen's hair tonight. It looked wonderful. I know that she was hesitant about it. But Jeanne who happened to be at Mom's said, "Colleen you never do anything with your hair but pull it on top of your head, so why do you keep it long. It always looks short anyway." I cut about 4 inches off of it. Jeanne said that isn't enough cut some more off. I probably cut another inch off. Then Jeanne helped me by cutting it around her face. I layered it a little as well. It looked great. My mom gave me some money again. I know that Colleen doesn't have any, but Mother doesn't either. But it was good to get some money anyway, and I am grateful for it. I hope that Colleen liked her hair, it looked so much better on her.

June 9th Wednesday

We have been busy again today. We went to the temple in the morning. It has been raining a vlot so no climbing the mountain. Each time that I go to the temple I realize what a sacred important work that I am doing. The great thing is, is that I am doing it for members of my extended family. It makes it so much more meaningful. I am just grateful that I have the privilege of attending such a beautiful place and feeling the Spirit of the Lord.

I also got some more sewing done today. I fixed the skirt finally. It should fit now. Now I need to start on the other one. It will be fun to be sewing again. The good thing is the weather is so cool that it is easy to be in the sewing room. I also got my grandmothers sewing machine in great working order. It sews amazing. The belt on it is a little rough so sometimes it doesn't want to move. But it works and I am happy about that. The problem that I am having is that it is sewn by a presser foot that is at the knee rather than at the foot, which will take some getting use too. But I am super excited about the whole thing.

Right when I am trying to finally catch up on some sewing Mom brings me a project. She wants me to make Colleen an outfit. A skirt and a blouse. I am a little concerned about it because Mom bought me a pattern but it will not fit. I have to come up with my own pattern, and that worries me. Will I make it to fit or will it not. I ask myself, "Can I reallly do this". I hope and pray that I will get some help, because sometimes I think this is beyond me.

June 8th Tuesday

Today I decided to clean my house completely. It took me a little time, but now like it usually does. Right now I don't have any children at home. And I did major cleaning on Saturday to get ready for Sunday. So trust me there is not a lot to do. I just pretty much have to keep picking up after myself. My husband is pretty good to pick up after himself, especially when the house is clean. I think when it is it makes us want to keep it that way.

I've also decided I need to do a little sewing. I started to unpick some skirts that Kim and Tam made in sewing. They are to big for them, so I am trying to fix them. I have actually gotten them both unpicked and will try to get them back together tomorrow. I also got more done on the blanket for Hamanitarian. I am getting better with the stitch I am doing. I am grateful for that.

June 7th Monday

We have had a little trauma in our house today and yesterday. It seems as though some of my children think they can do a better job at raising my younger children than I. I guess I am not doing it the way they would. I know that, but I raised them, so hopefully my other children will turn out OK. At any rate everything is not perfect. My husband left this morning to travel quite a distance to pick up my younger children, but ended out turning around and coming home after traveling half way there. He doesn't appreciate the contention that my younger children and one of my older daughters have caused in this family over the last couple of days. I know that was hard on him, to not keep going because when he makes a commitment he stands by it. All we ask of our children is that when we feel strongly about something they don't go behind our backs and think it OK. It may at times seem like a little thing but in the long run it is not. I love all my children and sometimes it is hard to tell them how I feel because I do not want to hurt feelings. Sometimes it is hard to be a parent.

We had family night tonight and read one of the conference talks given by Elder Uchtdorf It is on patience and at this point I think we all need the talk. It talks about the fact that we just need to wait for things, and not to expect them over night. We live in a world where we need immediate gratification, that is why we do things on the spear of the moment rather than think about it for a while. I think all my children have this problem. I know having patience takes a life time. At least for me it will. I just hope we can all get better at it.

June 6th Sunday

It has been an incredible Sunday. Fast and Testimony Meeting was wonderful. I learned a lot from each individual testimony. A lady who is not from our ward but was visiting bore her testimony. She said that she reads C S Lewis because he has a lot of wonderful things to say. She said that she wishes she could quote him but could not so she would just paraphrase. He said that our bodies are like houses, we try to improve them the best we can, but God takes these houses and creates Palaces. And it is our responsibility to make each one around us understand their individual worth. I loved that. I know that I am one that needs to greatly improve on this. Our lives would be a whole lot happier if we constantly built each other up. Another gentlemen from our ward talked about fast meeting and fast offerings. He said through his honoring the fast and paying much more fast offerings, he has been able to leave his New York job and now works close by. He is making more money as well. Things are wonderful because of his choice to fast fully and double his fast offerings. It was another wonderful thing to hear. Everyone that spoke touched my heart, it was great. Then Sunday School was amazing. We talked about 1st Samuel and how Samuel was a prophet of God. He said to the Lord. "Speak, Lord; for they servant heareth. The teacher said he took this verse to heart and for one week after his evening prayers have ended he stays on his knee's and tells the Lord that he is listening and he will do whatever the Lord requires of him. He said, it has been miraculous and challenged us all to do the same. Then in Relief Society we talked about what following things the prophet has done has helped us in our lives. I loved every ones comments, but especially a ladies that I visit teach. She talked about our last prophet and going to his funeral. She said as she entered the room in which he was she felt totally different. The spirit was so wonderful and so strong. She knew that he was a prophet of God and the next prophet would be a prophet as well. I knew from what she said that we are so blessed to be guided by a prophet of God. We are certainly a blessed people and I am so grateful to be a member of "The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." It is truly a miracle in my life. I am so grateful to my grandparents who traveled across seas to be with the saints after they became members. Because if it wasn't for them I would not be who I am today. Thank-you for the miracle.

June 5th Saturday

We went and pulled Karalee's car to the dealer once again. This is getting ridiculous, her car has had problems since December. The more we take it into the Nissan dealer the more Karalee puts out more money and the problem still isn't solved. They first replaced the computer, then we replaced the alternator. Now who knows what will be next. My husband took in the old alternator, it is perfectly fine. You've got to understand that Nissan does not know what they are doing, they are misdiagnosing everything. I don't even think the computer was bad and that is almost 1,000 dollars. It was suppose to be under warranty but they claimed it was tampered with, so they wouldn't cover the warranty. We took it to a Logan mechanic because we were stranded there. But they wouldn't budge, they insisted on Karalee paying. We feel like they should have been taken to court. What a mess. The problem is Mike had to come and get us in Logan with a truck and trailer to hull the Nissan back. It took time for him to get everything rounded up and to come get us. We were stranded in Logan for 4 days, waiting for with some word on what was wrong. The mechanic just couldn't figure it out, so we towed it home. It is sad to think that there are so many incompetent people, and my dear daughter is still suffering because of it. Unfortunately the department we needed was closed because it is Saturday, so we will have to deal with this problem later.

We went out to Jennifer's house this evening and we repaired her sprinkler system. It took us a while but we finally figured out the problem. We got home late tonight. Jennifer took us out to eat, because we were gone so long. It was so late and tomorrow is fast Sunday. I feel like we should have fasted much earlier than we did. I am failing again. We should be fasting until late tomorrow night, but we have people to feed so we will do the best that we can.

I got my whole house cleaned today. It feels so good. I will be able to go to into the Sabbath Day feeling wonderful. I always feel better when my house is clean. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. I know that is for sure. I am grateful for the miracle of a clean house.

June 4th Friday

We went to the temple today and while we were gone Karalee had car problems again. She went from the dealer to the bank to deposit some checks and once again her car quit. All the dash caution lights went on, the car idled for a few minutes, then stopped and wouldn't move. She was out in the parking lot trying to push it into a parking place. And of course we all know how difficult that is because no power stirring and no power brakes. The problem is that several capable young men drove by and didn't help at all. Then a pregnant lady stopped to help her. She felt really bad for the lady but greatly appreciated her help. It makes me feel bad that when there is a need we just don't see it. We need to open our eyes and see those in need. At any rate we will worry about the car tomorrow. Right now it is safe in a parking place, at the bank.

The temple was wonderful and I appreciated being there. It was good to be at the temple again.

We worked in the yard again and got it all done. All the plants are planted now and and the fence is put back up in a different place. I am just so grateful. The whole place looks incredible. I am just so happy for my little garden. Right now I consider it a miracle. My husband and I have certainly worked hard on it, and it is totally a miracle for us. We are grateful for the ability to do this work. We are truly blessed.

June 3th Thursday

We spent a lot of time in the yard today. We ripped out 2/3 of the dog pen and prepared it for planting all my squash a cucumbers. It took us a long time. And even though I couldn't do the digging, I tried to help the best I could. I helped rack, and pulled weeds and dug where I could with a little shovel. It looks so good. I know that tomorrow we will be able to plant everything and get it to look really nice. I am so excited. I will get to go outside and pick it on my own, because in the past I've had to go over the fence. This new idea will be so much easier to water and to pull weeds. Also I will keep it picked, so that nothing gets old in it. I guess the reason it took us so long today is because we also had to move the fence and clear the area which is full of a lot of rocks, but it has been fun working along side my husband. He has worked hard for me today and I really appreciate it.

This morning Frank changed the alternator on Karalee's car. It finally seems to be working fine again. She will take it to the dealer tomorrow to reprogram it. I think that this whole car problem may come to an end. Right now someone seems to want to get us down. We are trying hard to maintain. I hope Frank gets his business going and that every good thing will come his way. I can't thank the Lord enough for him and his positive attitude. It has been a day full of miracles, because Frank also mowed the lawn. Our yard looks great and the miracle of Karalee's alternator is done.

Wednesday 2nd of June

We have done a lot today. I got half of my back yard weeded. I got almost my whole receiving blanket done for the Humanitarian aid. I bought some things to fix an old sewing machine. We picked up the alternator for Karalee's car, which Frank will work on tomorrow. So it has been a productive day.

The girls went to visit their sister for a few weeks, so I can get a lot done with no messes to clean up. We hiked the mountain on Monday and I hope to do that again this week.

Tuesday June 1st

The girls have had some fun with friends today. They made donuts, with these friends. One of there friends stayed into the night. They seemed to enjoy themselves. I am happy that they can have fun. Because soon they will be facing the real world and have to get a good job. I know that they have been working on a campaign non-stop the last 5 months, but that has been with family. Now the job search has to go forth.

We did get the house cleaned this morning and that made things great. We can spend the rest of the day doing what we want too. I went over to talk to Ruth today about croqueting. It was great. I have been working on a bib for humanitarian aid. Now I can start on my blanket. I did get the bib done.

Monday May 31st

We had a great family day today. We had a barbecue and everyone came and participated. It was rather fun because the food wasn't all up to me. We did it for Kim and Tam kind of a graduation present. It was a lot of fun. After eating potato salad, hamburgers with mushrooms and all the trimmings for them, fruit salad, baked beans, drinks and chips, which by the way was incredible, we played volleyball. It is so fun with everyone. We all just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. With family around to participate in sports we can have whole teams. I love it.

I went over to my parents they were headed to Midway. I guess we have a lot of family buried in the Midway cemetery. I want to go up there some time this week. Because of the whole family coming over we didn't make it today. But I would like to go up there. We also have some family buried in Frances and of course Kamas. In SLC we have some buried in the Eliason Gardens. I am happy I found this out so I can go to all the graveyards. It has been a truly fun and rewarding day.

Sunday 30th May

It is a wonderful day. The weather is completely different this year and once again it was a nice cool day. We walked to church. Sacrament Meeting was good. The Lund's spoke and we got out a couple of minutes early. Then Frank taught Sunday school. The room for all the kids that just graduated is right next to ours. So Frank peeked in and said, aren't all you graduates suppose to be in my room. They all got up and came in, even the ones that haven't graduated yet. It made the multi-purpose room plenty full. Frank didn't really mean it all the kids just came. But he did a great job on his lesson. And I guess that is where the graduates are suppose to be now.

Michelle and Neil left right after we ate. I was sorry to see them go. It seems as though they have been around a lot lately, so we just expect them to be here. It was nice of them to drive all the way up here for the girls graduation. With Michelle doing pictures it made it great for all of us.
