Sunday February 7th

Neil and Michelle left first thing this morning and I was sad to see them go. I know that my house stays cleaner when they are not here but I give up a lot when they are gone.

It was fast and testimony meeting today. We had a fantastic meeting. A man from our ward talked about his father finally becoming a member of the church at the age of 89 years old. There family has spent many hours fasting, praying and loving their father. They have all participating in this since they were little, but they never gave up. It certainly took years and years for the miracle to happen, but it finally did. Sometimes we think that things can never change but they can. After that meeting we attended our sunday school class. My husband taught the lesson. He did a great job. He talked about life being bigger than us all. The choices that we make can effect generations. Lets just say all our meetings were excellent.

The girls and I attended choir, then went home to fix dinner and eat. I always enjoy Sunday's because they give me a new start on life. I love the miracle of sunday's.

February 6th Saturday

We had quite the interesting day today. We were to attend the Lincoln Days Celebration. Neil had purchase a table to let himself be known. So Michelle and I spent the day running around and buying the things we needed for the day. Because Michelle hadn't planned on her 2 daughters going she didn't bring dresses to wear to the evenings events. So we ran around and bought a shirt for each of the girls and then some black elastic. We also bought 3 different types of material for each dress. Then we quickly came home and made 2 dresses. They were darling, only because Michelle picked out such cute materials. We all got ready and headed to the Celebration. We got Paul and Emily to tend the younger children. Kim and Tam did a fantastic job handing out "Neil for Congress" brochures. Grace and Emma were darling running around with their signs for Neil. Soon everyone left but Neil, Michelle, Frank and I, we were to attend the dinner. We had invited Kermet and Lisa, plus Marlin and Ann. We were part of something that was wonderful. It made me happy to have such a great son in law that is welling to put himself out there and run for Congress. I am proud to be an American, and happy that I am so proud of our forefathers and what they stood for. It is a miracle that we live in such a free country. Go Neil!!!!

February 5th Friday

I could say that today is a little sad. We left this morning and attended Johnny's wedding lunch at noon. After the wedding I and Frank drove into a church parking lot in Morgan and just talked. I was wonderful just to be alone for a short time. After we talked. we drove to Mike and Linda's house and talked until we had to be at the church for the wedding. We attended the wedding and then the reception. Some of Jeanne's little grand children had the chickenpox. I felt so bad for them, but all Jeanne's children wanted to be at the wedding to support there brother. The wedding was a fairy tale wedding, it was beautiful. I am sure that this young couple think that they have the world by the tail. The fairy tale wedding just made everything feel so right for them. But the hearts of the parents were breaking because this young couple disregarded something that had been taught their whole lives, and that was the importance of a temple marriage. I hope to see them in a year in the wonderful place where they needed to start out their lives. It was so sad to see such a happy day within a few minutes become a day we all wish could have been different. I am so grateful today for the principle of repentance, that we can all repent of those things that we wish we could change. With Christ's atonement we are all allowed to become the person we want to be. That is a complete miracle to me.

Thursday 4th of February

Thursday morning and things are great. We spent the morning cleaning the house. It was fun I made waffles and cleaned the kitchen and washroom, then I cleaned my room and my bathroom. I also cleaned up the sewing room, which was a mess after Jeanne's dress. I am glad that I got the house cleaned up it makes life a little better. Neil and Michelle have a meeting tonight in SLC, so we will be tending the children. Michelle went to Jennifer's and picked out a nice dress to wear. Apparently this is one of those political meeting that are dressy. I hope that they have a great time. I am sure that they will. I spent the night with the twins trying to get the kids feed and to bed. The grand kids can be so fun. Tyler is still sick but loves to get in Frank and Is bed. He is so cute. Little Tessie is so sweet. She goes to bed for me so perfect. I couldn't ask for Grand kids to be better. Grace and Emily just need a story read to them at night and when Kim and Tam are here it all happens so quickly. I am just happy tonight for special Grand children who make my life so happy. It has been a great day.

Frank and I also broke away and went to the temple today. It is so wonderful there and so peaceful. I am grateful for my time at the temple. While at the temple I was focused on some of our problems. Our bills our not having any money and us on the verge of losing our home again. Well I went through the temple doing endowments, afterwards I was headed to the dressing room when I saw a young girl who was a paraplegic. She was waiting to head to a session and had to be helped with everything. Suddenly I thought to myself, and I am complaining. Sometimes the Lord has a way of making you understand that things could be a whole lot worse. I am truly blessed and am grateful for all that I have.

February 3rd Wednesday

I still don't have Jeanne's dress done. I went over to Mom's because Jeanne is over there. When I tried it on her it was too small. I couldn't believe all the work I have put into that dress and now I need to take it apart and and make the seams smaller. I guess the blessing and miracle here is that I have seams to take out. I could have just serged them off. Jeanne has to pick up Diana at the airport soon so I need to get this dress done. Jeanne picked me up this morning and took me to find some trim to put on the front of her dress. We also picked up her flowers for the wedding from my cousin who had them all ready. It took us a long time so I only have a few minutes to redo the dress. After I unpicked all the seams, Jeanne came over, she was suppose to be at the airport. So I had to hurry. I finally gave her the dress. It looked great on her, it wasn't as perfect as it was before I started to redo it but it was good enough. I am just so glad I am done with the dress because I don't have to stress about it anymore.

Michelle went to help Jennifer tonight with a young women activity. Tyler still isn't doing very well but he has been really good for being sick. I made pizza with the little kids while Michelle and the twins were at young women. We had a lot of fun putting all the wonderful things on the pizza's. Tyler actually ate a couple of pieces of pizza, then of course had to take his father some. He was in the frontroom working on some things. Tyler was just so proud because he helped to make the pizza. Fun time with the grand kids tonight. After the pizza all the grand children went to bed. Neil took them to bed. Angie showed up to say Hi to them. So the getting to bed did end out being quite late. But so much for bed time at Grandma's house.

February 2nd Tuesday

Neil, Michelle and family are here and we love all of them. They are good little children and we enjoy having them around. They got here and we weren't quite prepared. I've just been cleaning in between sewing, but unfortunately didn't make it. Kim and Tam got home about the same time Michelle got here. But they had to run fast and get ready to go with the Young Men and Young women to the temple to do baptisms. Neil and Michelle ran to do some things so I had their children alone, everyone was gone but me. But I made supper for them and got them all ready for bed. I was so glad when Kim and Tam came running in so that I could tend little Tessie and they could get Tyler and the girls to bed. Because poor little Tyler ended out being sick and having a fever. So things just were great when I got some help. I was able to clean up the kitchen and get little Tessie taken care of. My husband came home and he helped with the kitchen and took Tyler. All in all it was a great evening, Neil and Michelle were happy with there meeting. I count the blessings of such good things happening today. Kim found out she could take Math 1030 at BYU without permission from the principal at the High School. It will cost her around 500 dollars, but she is willing to do it and save her pennies for a while. I am happy for her. She is happy she got put in the 2 classes at the High School that she needed and then she is going to take this Math Class so she will have enough credits. It will be good for her. We are grateful today that everything is working out for her. It is a blessing in all our lives.

February 1st Monday

Michelle called this morning and they will be here tomorrow. With Neil running for Congress they will spend alot of time up here. He has so many people to meet and so many meeting to go to to get his name out there. I am so proud of Neil and Michelle because what they are undertaking is not easy at all, especially with 4 little children. I would have never guessed this would be a part of our family, it is something my husband has wanted to do his whole life. So I am glad to watch his dreams fulfilled by a member of the family.

I know I have a lot to do as far as my house cleaning goes before Michelle and her family are coming, but unfortunately that can't happen yet because I am still trying to get Jeanne's dress done for her son's wedding. And right now that is my priority because she is coming down tonight. It seems like this dress has taken me forever. I feel like I can't do anything right now but sew. I am just grateful that the Lord has blessed me to be able to sew, so that I can help when the need arises, and I am glad that I am a perfectionist so that the things I do look professional. But I will be grateful when I can move on to finish Jennifers pillows.
