Nate woke up this morning and insisted on driving himself to the airport. It would have been a 2 hour drive for us and then we would have had to drive back. We would have done it because Nate is our son in-law and we would do anything for him, but it was an answer to a prayer. We have so much to do today. Of course we made sure that Nate hadn't taken any drugs before we would let him leave, and he didn't since last night so he insisted on driving himself. He has a long trip ahead of him. Driving to Las Vegas and then he flies clear to Pittsburgh, with a lay over. We are praying for him that he will make it home safely. He has a family anxiously waiting for his arrival.
I had the opportunity of going to a Republican Woman's luncheon with Neil and Michelle. Val and Tessie went as well. Neil spoke at the luncheon and did an incredible job. He impressed everyone there. We got to know some amazing people who will support Neil. Neil shared CAP
with them, which is our new fund raising campaign. It is that we don't want people to have to put out money so we are asking them to donate things that are of value, that is not needed by the person any more. It was a fun luncheon. I was grateful to be there.
It has been a crazy day. We have been busy with all we have to do. Frank has been busy with Michelle. I have been busy with my grandchildren. Plus we ran it to town to get some completely checked out where the fund raising goes, so we could get it printed off. Then we spent the evening passing out 188 brochures to homes in the neighborhood. We spent a few hours with Emma and Grace passing out the brochures. Frank and I worked hard and the girls helped. The road there scooters so they didn't wear out their little legs. Their mother came to pick them up at out six thirty, for dinner and eating. Frank and I continued to pass out brochures, for another hour. We soon got them finished, then we were on our way back to Michelle's. Grateful that the were done, and we were through with a hectic day.
