October 31st Sunday

My son and daughter in law spoke in church today. They did a fantastic job. Each spoke about God's love for us all. At times we don't even realize that the Lord is right there with us helping us. It is like the picture of the Savior at the door but there is no door knob. The Savior is just waiting for us to come in, to ask for help. My daughter in law told a story of someone that they met in Russia, they never proselyted because it wasn't allowed. But they found themselves inside of a families living quarts. Of course they were ready to be let out as soon as they walked in. But just before they went out they noticed a picture that brought the spirit into the home. They asked where did you get that picture. Then they were allowed in for a minute. They learned that the lady of the house and her daughter had found the picture. It was a picture of Christ at the door. It was an amazing picture to find in a home in Russia. They just don't even believe in a God. They are mostly atheist and it was the same with this family. It wasn't a perfect picture by any means but you could tell what it was. They explained what the picture was and that is all that happened, but it was wonderful to find such a wonderful item in the home of a Russian family. It is amazing to me that the light of Christ is every where, even in the smallest and simplest little things.
