Sunday 22nd August

Emily sang in Jennifer's Mother in laws ward this morning. She sand the song, I'm Trying To Be Like Jesus. She did a beautiful job. Sacrament meeting was super. A couple talked about their trip to Israel and saw family that they hadn't seen in 9 years. But they also talked about how wonderful it is to walk in the same footsteps that Jesus walked. The whole meeting was all about our Savior and it was wonderful that Emily sang the song that she did. She was certainly inspired.

Then we went to our Sacrament Meeting were the new Relief Society presidency spoke. It was so fun to hear from each of them. The talk that was given first was all about dandelions. She talked about how she loved them when she was a child. Years later she found out they were a weed. But they are strong and can spread so quickly. They are hard to get rid of because they are always there. She wanted to be like that dandelion who stands strong and doesn't wavier. I thought it was a great analogy. The other talk that really inspired me was receiving personal revelation. The Relief Society President talked about how important it is to help others so we need to be inspired to find out who needs our help. It was an excellent meeting. I was glad I went. Sunday School was great too. Frank taught the lesson on Job. Such and amazing man that lost everything and yet stayed strong and dedicated to the Lord. Relief Society was on reaching out and helping those in need feel that we care. and also being the best way that we can be by being inspired with help for our families. After church we shared in a wonderful meal. I even made apple and blueberry pie. A great day.

The girls went to their single adult ward prayer tonight and had a great time. The guys came around them and they talked and had an incredible time.
