What a fantastic day. Frank and I were up bright and early this morning to attend Emily's graduation. It started at 8 this morning. It was wonderful. It was fun to be there and see Emily accomplish something that hasn't been easy at all for her. But she stuck to it even when it seemed as though she would never make it. We love her and are very proud of her. She just kept going and working hard. Congratulations Emily!!!!!! Your music degree is finally here.
Of course after all that we ran home and got everything ready to be at the temple at 10:30. We made it there. It was wonderful to see all of my children and there spouses at the temple, except my two girls that are too young. That shows me how wonderful my children are, because they are worthy to attend the temple and partake of such a wonderful sacred day. Thanks to all my children and their spouses that made this day so special. Katina and Phillip had a wonderful day and I am so proud of them and the choices that they have made in their lives to partake of such a wonderful experience. A very important day, one I hope everyone remembers, but especially Phillip and Katrina. We had so many wonderful people at the temple with us. Not only family, but Phillip's and Katina's mission president and wife flew in just to be at their wedding. What special people. Thank-you to all that came, we appreciate you.
Chrissy and Michelle took pictures. It was so special of them because it was a very cold day. So it took a lot for them to be out in the cold. Chrissy did a wonderful DVD for them. Her Mike and Michelle spent a lot of time getting them to do just the right thing to make it fun. It was wonderful, and thanks to Karalee for editing it. I have some very talented children who make this whole marriage experience a joy. Thank-you Chrissy you are amazing, we are so grateful for your thoughtfulness in doing such a great thing. And Thank-you Michelle for doing such great pictures. It was so cold we couldn't get all the pictures we wanted but we did get pictures and that is what counts. Thanks once again to Sue for the cute grand kids dresses.
Michelle came home and checked out all the pictures. Then she touched them up with photo shop. They were incredible. She quickly sent them to Costco, got them and framed them. They were perfect for all the tables.
Frank and I went to get the tables, and table cloths. I had arranged for them on Monday. So we got them all and set them up in Mom's house. Then we finished all the table cloth centers at Mom's so we could use her serger. Then I brought over all the decorations and we set them up. As soon as Michelle got all the pictures done she brought them over. Everything looked amazing, the cake table, the present table, the signing table and the tables for the guests. If I had to picture all of this and the way it turned out, I could not have asked for better. Everyone was so wonderful and helped in so many ways to have everything so perfect.
In the middle of all of this Kimberly came over in tears. She said she wasn't graduating. She was suppose to have her AP art final in today by 3:00 and it was already after 5:00, or so much for her hard work. My mother said, "Kimberly don't worry everything will be fine. I know that your father won't let that happen." So we all went home. Frank grabed Kimberly and ran to the school hoping they would find someone there to help them. They ran through the school checking every class room and office. The whole time Frank is praying that a miracle will happen. Well after running and searching everywhere they gave up and headed for the front door. They got ready to get in the car and suddenly noticed the Principal sitting in her car, she was waiting for a person who was suppose to be there to pick her up for supper. The person just hadn't shown up. Well we knew why she hadn't shown up. Heavenly Father was causing this all to happen. The Principal said not to worry about it everything would be find. She could take care of it all on Monday. Another great miracle for the day!!!!!
My sister in law Diana did all the flowers for everyone and the bouquet. They were all beautiful. The flowers were a bright pink and Kimberly painted them with some white paint. They were perfect. Thanks to Diana for doing all that work they were certainly professional and Kimberly for making them the way Katrina wanted them.
The reception was incredible. A lot of people came for the Hansen's that were there friends and had moved out here from California. A lot of people came from the wards, plus my cousins. It was so good to see all of them. I couldn't asked for a more wonderful day. Everything was absolutely perfect. Jean came to help with refreshments again, she is an angel. She just walked in my house got what she needed and got started at Mom's with what needed to be done. With her around I never have to worry about anything, she is wonderful.
Well the newlyweds are married and everything turned out perfect. The Hansen's were wonderful and the day was wonderful. The Lord took care of me in every way and I couldn't ask for more. We are so completely appreciative to everyone. Thank-you so much for your help. Jennifer, Derrick and Lisa helped to clean everything at Mom's, then they came to my house and we all chipped in. I just can't express my thinks enough. We even have a clean house. Family you are wonderful. My experience couldn't have been more perfect. You are all angels sent from heaven.
One last thing that made the last two days was my Mother giving up her home for us. I know with all the noise and mess it wasn't easy for her or Dad, but they were gracious enough to let us invade their privacy for a couple of days. Thank-you so much for your kindness. We appreciate you so much, and appreciate the many many hours of hard work you put in your home for this special occasion. Another miracle in our life.
